The project is situated on a 3-acre plot in Lagonisi, Attica, and is developed along the east–west axis, with sea views to the west. The plot was chosen for its size, allowing the inclusion of a tennis court in addition to the residence and its surrounding outdoor areas.

The central concept was the design of the outdoor space as the dominant element around which the users’ daily activities unfold. A characteristic feature of this approach is the interior atrium, where the introduction of a striking, large tree with rich foliage serves as the focal point of the entire residence, with the various spaces arranged around it.

The ground floor hosts the communal areas such as the kitchen, living room, and dining area, as well as several private rooms including the study, a guest WC, and a bedroom with an en-suite bathroom used as a guest room. The upper floor houses the family’s bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom.

The basement functions as a place of relaxation and recreation, featuring a gym with an indoor pool and bathroom, a hammam, sauna, and home cinema. At the same time, on the other side of the basement, a zone of auxiliary functions is created, including staff quarters, laundry room, bathrooms, storage areas, mechanical rooms, and parking. The main entrance is through a double-height space on the ground floor, but to highlight the basement entrance—which will be used daily—a wine-cellar composition was designed along its length.

A key objective of the architectural design was the seamless integration of interior and exterior space. This is achieved through large semi-outdoor areas and pergola-covered spaces, which flow naturally into the water features of the swimming and decorative pools, as well as the landscaped garden. Elements such as the planted roofs of the ground floor bring nature closer to the upper-floor terraces, while the sunken lounge with an open fireplace within the pool stands out as a distinctive feature of the residence.

The use of natural stone-clad tiles on both the exterior and interior surfaces reinforces the connection with the surrounding natural environment. Wood, marble, and earthy plaster tones tie the composition together and create a calming visual effect.

Architecturally, the form is simple and contemporary, with strong horizontal lines and a pronounced sense of transparency. Compositionally, the shape of the residence combined with its orientation emphasizes the sea view while simultaneously protecting the users’ privacy.
