The project focuses on the renovation of the ground floor of a maisonette located in the residential area of Pallini, in order to meet the needs of a couple.
Given the existing layout of the residence, which placed the main living spaces on the ground floor and the private areas on the upper level, the design focused on enhancing communication between the home office, the living room, and the dining area by creating a clear and fluid circulation. The kitchen and dining area were repositioned at the rear of the residence and redesigned with a more contemporary approach. The two former main entrances of the house were consolidated into a single entrance, which was relocated to a position diagonally opposite the existing internal staircase, at the center of the building.
The use of materials such as wood and marble, along with grey-toned surfaces, gives the interior a contemporary and minimalist character. The selection of white lacquer combined with marble in the kitchen enhances the diffusion of natural light throughout the interior. Strategically designed and positioned openings around the perimeter of the building allow views of the garden from all areas of the residence.
