The aim of the project was the renovation of an apartment located just a few minutes from the Panathenaic Stadium, in order to accommodate short-term rentals for 2 to 4 guests. Given the existing layout of the apartment, particular emphasis was placed on optimizing the use of space, ensuring a clear separation between private areas and day-use living spaces, thus facilitating everyday comfort for the occupants.
The adopted design strategy focused on relocating the bathroom from the living area to a position closer to the second bedroom, while redesigning the existing master bathroom in order to create a second bathroom. This approach allows the needs of both bedrooms to be met independently.
All spaces received selective upgrades and custom-designed elements. In the living room, a bespoke TV unit was designed, serving as the main decorative feature through the use of marble and wood cladding. In the entrance area, a custom library–desk composition was created, smartly separating it from the rest of the apartment while also providing the user with an independent workspace. In the kitchen, a mirror was installed above the countertop to reflect natural light from the living room window, adding depth to the space. In the master bedroom, custom-made elements such as the headboard, wardrobe and desk composition, and the placement of the washbasin within the room were implemented, making it the central focal point.
The use of materials such as wood, grey-toned marble, and black accents lends the interiors a contemporary and minimalist character. Concealed lighting highlights the bespoke constructions and enhances the creation of a warm and inviting living environment.
