The project concerns the renovation of an existing flooring showroom, with the aim of converting it into office space to accommodate the operational needs of a construction company of eight employees.
The central design concept was the creation of an open, collaborative working area for the staff, surrounded by the reception area, the administrative support workspace, the managing director’s office, and the meeting room. The latter two spaces are enclosed with transparent acoustic partitions, ensuring user privacy while preserving the spatial continuity and openness of the layout.
The office layout follows a linear and unified composition, defined by a suspended metal structure that functions both as a library element and as task-focused lighting above the workstations. To introduce a contemporary architectural character, diagonal design elements were incorporated in both the reception and administrative furniture, as well as in the ceiling through the lighting design.
The selected materials include natural oak wood, grey marble, olive-toned lacquer, and black metal and glass elements. This palette balances the warmth required to create a welcoming work environment with a contemporary aesthetic that reflects the high-end construction projects undertaken by the company.
