The goal was to redesign an existing apartment with a more contemporary and modern approach to the spaces, in order to meet the needs of a young couple. A key requirement was the use and optimal integration of the owner’s existing furniture into the new layout.
The apartment is divided into two zones. One consists of the entrance area with the guest WC, which is subtly separated from the open-plan kitchen, dining, and living area; the other consists of the two bedrooms and the bathroom. The second bedroom is initially being used as an office. The design focused on expanding the apartment, which had been fragmented due to old partitions. As a result, the apartment now feels larger and allows free movement across all areas.

The choice of materials in darker tones—such as black oak and marble with grey veining—combined with the use of black metal details, creates a dialogue between the space and the loose furniture. Decorative lighting, interacting with architectural lighting elements, gives the apartment a new dimension. At the same time, almost all built-in elements are custom-designed, ensuring its unique character.
