The project is about την renovation of an enclosed parking space, with the aim of converting it into a studio intended for use as a holiday residence. The studio is located in the southern part of Kythnos, within a plot situated along a ridgeline, offering unobstructed panoramic views of the sea.
The interior layout is conceived as a single open space, with the exception of the bathroom, which is separated for privacy. It includes a sleeping area, a living area with a sofa bed, and a kitchen, and can accommodate up to three guests.
Particular emphasis is placed on the exterior design, ensuring maximum visual connection to the sea and the Cycladic landscape. A large covered built-in seating area is created on the ground level, while an open rooftop terrace is formed on the roof, intended for sunbathing during the day and stargazing at night.
he studio’s architectural design faithfully follows the principles of traditional Cycladic architecture, featuring whitewashed walls, timber elements, light-blue window and door frames, and built-in stone seating constructed from local stone. In contrast, the interior adopts a more contemporary approach, using a palette of grey, white, and blue tones.
